This is a unit that works behind the scene, unnoticed until something goes wrong with the microphone, the speaker, public address system or cabling system in the church. This department is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that all the public address systems at the venue of a church event are working all the time, ensuring that all the public address systems of the church are working optimally. Regular maintenance of all the church electrical/electronic appliances, facilities and P.A (public address) Systems should be conducted to enable building personnel to carry out their duties with the greatest amount of efficiency and provide safe standards of work. The technicians working in this department should be in a position to setup and install the new electrical/electronic equipments. The electrical/electronic department should go through regular training to master and optimize the use of the facilities for optimum productivity. Provision of good sound balance is one of the major roles played by the electrical and electronic department. This is critical to worship atmosphere as the events of nowadays are very dependent on technology of communication. Following are some of the qualification to the electrical and electronic department; Technical knowledge: This unit is for those who have the necessary technical training and skill in the setting up, installation, utilization, troubleshooting and repair of electrical/electronic appliances and public address systems e.g. amplifiers, sound mixers, speakers, microphones, electronic screens, projectors, etc. Second is Alertness and readiness; all the believers working in this unit must always be at alert and ready to sense changes in sound balances during the events and take appropriate actions. Endurance: Until the events end, their duty has not ended and as such they have to be in the church until the end. Finally, they should be spiritually- minded; their responsibilities are not just about operating the equipment, but also sensitive to the Holy Spirit as events unfold.
