Loosening from the tie simply means leaving the worldly things for the purpose of raising the gospel of the Lord that result to God’s breakthrough. The best choice to make is to live for God. This will be achieved through proclaiming His word and spreading His mighty deeds. God created us for the purpose of praising and worshiping Him, therefore loosening from the tie would require serious men and women of God who will serve Him in truth and in spirit. One need to be extra closer to God and this must begin in preparation of our hearts. Jeremiah 4:3, The Lord is speaking about breaking up the hard ground in your heart, that part where the Word of God is not finding root and lodging, where it is not flourishing and growing, where it is not bearing fruit. And sow not among the thorns. If there is a patch in your heart that is hard or thorny, that area has to be plowed up before planting. Get rid of those things in your heart which are contrary to the Word of God. Then, when they have been removed, there will be room for a new planting of the Word and there will be loosening from the tie.
Drawing closer to God
When you begin to draw near to God, He will automatically draw near to you henceloosening from the tie. Draw closer to God in prayers. James 4:8-10reads, “draw near to God, and He will draw near to you, cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double minded. We need to single up our mind and start to seek the Lord. Come out from the world, separating yourself/our selves from the things of the world, and fixing your/our heart and mind on things above. James 4:9, “be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.” Then He will help us in loosening from the tie and plant more of His word in our hearts. God tells us to humble ourselves and if we do this, He will lift us up. He will come close, and we will find our experience getting richer each day. He looks for occasions to reach into our hearts and do a greater work in our lives, one way is for us to draw apart and get alone with Him is putting away some of those things that take so much of our time and spending more time with Him. If we spend some of that extra time in our prayer, it gives God an opportunity to come near and visit us hence loosening from the tie.Besides spending time in prayer, we need to also spend time in the Word; if we take time to read the Bible and to study it, we will find that, all at once, it becomes alive unto us. There will be something about it that draws us, something that enriches our heart. Isaiah 55:6, “seek the lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
