Dealing With Failure

Attaining success is a very big challenge. You need to know that success comes after overcoming failure (2 Corinthians 4:8) especially because; you cannot do what is right from the beginning, and you have no previous experience. This means that you have no practical knowledge.

How to overcome failure

One needs tobe patientwhen dealing with failure. Don't get discouraged if it is taking a little longer time than you expected. The more time it will take the better performance it will give you. Don't think that you will never achieve your goal or you will never get what want. Failure might cause your goals a little delay but it doesn't mean that you will never achieve them. It simply means that it will take just little longer. Today onwards, see failure as a chance to bounce back with full of energy. Look at failure as an opportunity to improve more and polish your skills. Trust in the Lord and all shall be well. Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass." (Joshua 21:45). View your failure as a road to success. When dealing with failure you should never give up, no matter how people react to your failure, you should never ever give up. If you start giving up after your every failure, you will accomplish literally nothing in life. You will start doing something and will quit it forever after you fail in it. In this way, your skills will never be polished. Your dreams will never come true. Every success story is also a story of a great failure. The only difference is that the successful people never gave up. Instead, they bounced back with a much more energy and enthusiasm every time they failed. Isaac the son of Abraham digged many wells after the Philistines had stopped him after the death of his father Abraham. For Isaac to manage dealing with failure he never gave up and the Lord blessed him (Genesis 26:12-19). When dealing with failure we alsoneed to change the point of view. First of all, we have to stop looking at failure in a negative way. People tend to link failure with weakness, stupidity, and dumbness which is not true. If you are doing something, and you think you are just perfect in it that means something seriously is going wrong with it. When a person thinks he is perfect, he has closed all doors for any growth or improvement. Whenever there is imperfection, there are million chances of improvement. Look at failure as another step toward success. Make yourself positive enough when dealing with failure to see the good sides of failure.

Raise your head up, look up and expect the answers to happen, and leave them to the power of the will of God. If your dreams don't come true don't get depressed and also don't lose hope. Always remember that God may be preparing a better dream for you to fulfill. Remember also that in every failure and success there is always a reason. When God closes one door, He opens another. This is depicted from the book of (act 16:6-12) when Paul was forbidden from preaching the word of the Lord. Following are some of the characteristics of failure;Failure is always painful,Failure is not easy to face, Lack of courage, Leads to fear.
