What you Need to Know About Sacrifice?

Redeemed Gospel Church Thika-TownSacrifice means giving to the Lord whatever He requires of our time, our earthly possessions, and our energies to further His work. Sacrifice involves the dedication of any and all personal accomplishments to Christ. Sacrifice means that we must put trust in God that He will provide for whatever it is we need. It is only through sacrifice that we can we become worthy to live in the presence of God and also enjoy eternal life. We must be willing to sacrifice to God if we need Him to bless us. Giving sacrifice to God is a spiritual issue and in fact, a relational issue with God. Many see the responsibility of giving sacrifice as a burden. An amazing advantage of giving sacrifice is that, it releases us from the real burden of our own financial needs. As we learn to trust God through giving sacrifices, we can live confidently on what is left because we know that God is taking care of that. Giving sacrifices is a freeing experience as it connects us more closely to God relationally. The ultimate outcome is that those who give as stewards experience a sense of intimacy with God that all followers of Christ long for. Giving sacrifice becomes worship, a way of saying thanks to God for His grace and promised provision and also giving becomes a deep part of our personal connection to God.

Dangers of Not Giving Sacrifice

SacrificeAccording to Daniel 8; 11, it is a sign that an evil principality is being exalted when people don’t give sacrifice to the altar of God.  “It set itself up to be as great as the commander of the army of the LORD; it took away the daily sacrifice from the LORD, and his sanctuary was thrown down.” In every place where the evil principalities are working, malicious spirits make war against the people of God. The evil principalities are beings that exercise power in the unseen realms to oppose everything and everyone that is of God. Another thing about dangers of not giving sacrifice to God is that, gateways of evil are opened. When gateways of evil are opened, horrible things happen in someone’s life or rather things start working against your expectation.  These include diseases, death, poverty and many other things.  When people refuse to give sacrifice to God another king takes over. Exodus 1;8Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.” People are ruled by others who are not God’s chosen. When the Israelites turned against God, they were placed in bondage by the Egyptians, Pharaoh seeks to destroy the sons born to Hebrew women. When people don’t offer sacrifice to God, the Spirit of pride and arrogance takes over. Pride and arrogance are very dangerous to our souls since they greatly hinder our intimacy with God and love for others. When we don’t give sacrifice to the altar of God, the altar of God becomes voiceless. No healing or miracle that can take place when the altar of God is voiceless. When people are not offering sacrifice to the altar of God, the enemy controls the wealth of people. When the enemy is controlling your wealth, you experience abnormal and recurring debts without knowing where they come from. Lastly, when people don’t offer sacrifice to the altar of God wickedness increases and also the altar of God is polluted. Daniel 11;31, “His army will take over the Temple fortress, pollute the sanctuary, put a stop to the daily sacrifices, and set up the sacrilegious object that causes desecration.”
