The enemy’s agenda is to kill, steal, and destroy. Sowing evil things into a person’s life is one of the ways that he does this. Examples of evil sowing are sickness, divorce, insanity, and failure. According to Mathew 13;24-28, 24 “Jesus told them another parable: The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him and said, Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from? An enemy did this,’ he replied. The servants asked him, Do you want us to go and pull them up?”. Jesus gave a parable and from these scriptures there are several things that we can learn. We can learn that there are both good and bad seeds in life. Another thing that we learn from these scriptures is that bad seeds are sown at night when people are a sleep. Especially when we are not spiritually alert, the enemy can interfere with the growth of what is in us. Another thing that we learn from this scripture is that the enemy sowed a bad seed and went away. It is very hard to know the person who sows a bad seed in someone’s life. This is because the person who sows a bad seed goes away and also sows the seed at night while people are a sleep. If an evil seed is sowed in your family, although you might not know immediately but as time goes by they manifest. And that is why it is important to uproot and destroy evil seeds that were sowed in your marriage, family, finances, children and also business. It is very easy for the enemy to plant an evil seed when you are spiritually a sleep, when you sleep in living a holy life, when you sleep in prayer or when you sleep in reading the word of God.
What we Need to Know About a Seed?
A seed determines your future and this means that, where there is no seed there is no future. A seed has power and grace to determine your future. Today we are what we are as a result of what was sowed some years back by our parents. Another thing about a seed is that, a seed determines the harvest. No seed no harvest, meaning that your future is determined by the seed that you sow today. Whether they are good or bad seeds, they all bring harvest. According to Genesis 47;19 we also learn that a seed carries death and life. “Why should we perish before your eyes, we and our land as well? Buy us and our land in exchange for food, and we with our land will be in bondage to Pharaoh. Give us seed so that we may live and not die, and that the land may not become desolate." A seed has power to give life. Another thing that you should know about a seed is that, a seed determines your level of increase. How much you can increase is determined by the amount of seed that you have sowed. You cannot plant small amount of seed and expect to harvest much. If you reduce your seed, you reduce your level of harvest and if you increase your seed, you increase your level of harvest. All these means that if many evil seeds will be sowed, many evil seeds will be harvested and if many good seeds are sowed many good seeds will come out. A seed is a generational connector. Every season is connected to another season through a seed and every generation is connected to another generation through the power of a seed because a seed has ability to pass through generation. A seed determines your season. How your season will look like is determined whether an evil or good seed was sowed in your life. A seed can be small but the outcome be great. Jesus talked about a master seed which grew until it became a big tree which became the security of animals and security of the birds of the air. What we learn from this is that; you should never underrate the size of a seed that you have, an evil seed can produce dangerous results while a good seed can produce good results.
